COAST Big Sur is a cafe, gallery and boutique nestled into Lafler Canyon situated along Highway 1 overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The idyllic round buildings are made from old-growth redwood water towers that originally served as the storage tanks for the Oak Naval Hospital in Oakland, California.
COAST offers a variety of beautiful private event spaces perfect for weddings, brunch and lunch gatherings, cocktail parties, evening dinner parties and corporate retreats. Our team of hospitality professionals are versed in world class wine service with an award-winning culinary team and a genuine and passionate service staff. The Event Spaces
The Seaview Terrace is the primary event space at Coast. It is a beautiful open-air terrace that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and connects to our enclosed Rotunda Room.
Occupancy: Standing Reception, 72 persons max. Seated Reception, 40 persons max. Wedding Ceremony on the Terrace, 50 persons max.
The Henry Miller Gallery is an indoor, open gallery room which can function as a private room for a standalone event or as an addition to the Seaview Terrace for a larger function. The layout of this space is also well suited to hold workshops, forums, tastings, musical performances, art shows and exhibits.
Occupancy: Standing Reception, 35 persons max. Seated Reception, 28 persons max.
